Blogging platform WordPress just announced a major upgrade to its long-beleaguered app for the iPhone and iPad. The new version is supposedly awesome. (iTunes link below.)

It used to suck. Now it sucks. Less. Still I use it from time to time on my iPad 1 and 2.

The company says it’s now solved most of the major problems, (and there were a ton,) squashed the bugs that caused constant app crashes and they have also added new features. Some of these new features include: a “Quick Photo” feature that lets you snap and post a photo very fast, a mobile stats display, localization in 10 languages and more. This new version also lets anyone add a free WordPress.org blog directly from the app now too. It’s a good way to get a feel for WordPress, but if you want any real control, you’ll want a self-gosted WordPress site ASAP.
